2017 Deadlines

November 12

Your must be registered by this deadline to attend the initiation and guarantee that your name will be on the printed program and your certificate will be at the ceremony. A membership medallion will be given to all students who attend the ceremony.

November 27

Annual Reception and Initiation Ceremony
Ballroom of the Kansas Memorial Union
Check in: 5:00 p.m.
Begins: 5:30 p.m.
Dress: Business attire

If you do not attend the ceremony or if you register after November 12: After the ceremony date, you will need to pick up your new member materials at 2150 Learned Hall. These materials will not be mailed to you.

December 11

The access code will expire and online registration will close at 11:59 p.m. CST on December 11. If you were invited to join and miss the deadline, please email late registration inquiries to rsolwa@ku.edu

Phi Kappa Phi Facts

Phi Kappa Phi provides $1 million in grants and awards each biennium to outstanding students and members.

Membership is by invitation to the top 7.5% of juniors with at least 72 credit hours and the top 10% of seniors and graduate students at member-campuses. Faculty, professional staff, and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction also may be eligible for membership.

Founded in 1897 at the University of Maine, Phi Kappa Phi was created to honor excellence in all academic disciplines. 

The Society's motto is "Let the love of learning rule humanity."

Notable alumni include former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, best-selling novelist David Baldacci, Grammy Award-winning soprano Renée Fleming, YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, and NASA astronaut Wendy Lawrence.
