The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi's international community is a unique blend of students, academicians, and corporate and civic leaders from all fields of endeavor. Membership in Phi Kappa Phi recognizes and rewards academic success. That recognition doesn’t end after initiation. Thomas C. Proctor (Northeastern University) received the 2025 National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development's (NISOD) Excellence Award. This national award recognizes individuals doing extraordinary work on their campuses.
Randy Bertolas (Wayne State College) receives Student Senate’s Professor of the Year Award for 2023-24. The award recognizes faculty members who demonstrate exceptional dedication to teaching and service.
Azucena Grady (Texas Tech University) awarded the Texas Tech University, Doctoral Dissertation Completion Fellowship (DDCF) for the 2025-2026 academic year. This highly competitive and prestigious, university-wide award is awarded to a select group of outstanding Ph.D. candidates across all disciplines.
John Giordano (Villanova University) sworn in as the 64th U.S. attorney for the District of New Jersey. As U.S. attorney, Giordano oversees all federal criminal prosecutions and civil litigation involving federal interests in the state.
Deirdre Cassell (Brenau University) named one of the Top 50 Women Leaders of Georgia for 2025. The recognition honors women who have demonstrated significant professional achievements and leadership within the state.
Maricia Spence (Angelo State University) has been named a Preseason Track Athlete to Watch. She was an All-American last season in the indoor pentathlon, 60-meter hurdles and long jump.
Arwa Abdelhakiem (Missouri State University) has been awarded a Critical Language Scholarship by the U.S. Department of State. The program employs a merit-based selection process to identify recipients.
Solomon Gebru (University of Maryland Global Campus) honored Student Governance Award for his service on the university's Student Advisory Council (STAC) for the 2024-25 academic year. Members of STAC are elected by the student body and serve in an advisory capacity to the university president, provost, deans, and other officials to express the views of students.
