Our Winter Forum 2022 issue, which focuses on the theme of great speeches, includes a survey of some neat things Phi Kappa Phi members have said over the years. If you missed that story, you can read it here.

This leads us to a broader question of eloquence: What’s your favorite quotation, and why? For Forum editor, Danny Heitman, he really likes this one from anthropologist Margaret Meade: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world: indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Heitman says, it aptly summarizes the idea that big change can start in small places.

Extend the conversation and share your thoughts. We’d love to hear from you about your favorite quote – and why you like it.
