Our spring Forum 2025 issue, which explores the theme of the joy of walking, features a thoughtful essay by Joanna Brichetto. In her piece, Brichetto discusses the many natural wonders she spots on her city walks, making the point that you don’t have to live in the woods or on a farm to enjoy nature. If you didn’t catch Brichetto’s essay, you can read it here.
What bits of nature have you spotted on your walks lately? For Forum editor Danny Heitman, it’s a bluebird he recently saw in his local park. “I’m still beaming from a bluebird I recently saw in my local park, though it was too fleeting for me to photograph,” he says.
What have you been seeing? We’d love to hear about the nature spotted on your walks. Extend the conversation and share your thoughts. Feel free to share pictures, too, if you’d like.
