The latest edition of the Phi Kappa Phi Forum will be arriving in your mailbox soon. The summer edition's theme of "Writing" continues our 2022 series, which began with reading and will continue later this year with conversation and art of the great speech. The feature stories, regular columnists, and even our custom crossword puzzles will all dive deeper into those ideas.

The feature articles for the summer issue discuss:

  • Meeting History – Departing Phi Kappa Phi board member Missy Hopper helped steer the Society through uncharted waters of COVID-19.
  • Freedom Writer – Azar Nafisi thinks writers and readers are “joined at the hip,” since “the freedom of one guarantees that of the other.”
  • Coming Full Circle – Through writing marathons, a father and son sprint through prose.
  • Pandemic Memorial – Phi Kappa Phi leaders, staff plant a tree to honor members lost to COVID-19.
  • Writing Through Crisis – In a troubled world, James H. Hibbard wonders whether writing can help us transcend pain.

As always, we welcome letters to the editor, member news, poetry submissions and story ideas for upcoming themes. Visit our Forum page to learn more.
