Phi Kappa Phi offers resources to assist members with finding the right internship and our partners provide members the opportunity to apply for scholarships worth up to $2,500. These programs provide members with opportunities to explore career options, while enhancing their leadership development potential.
The Washington Internship Institute’s semester-long academic internship program is designed to provide students with practical, hands-on experience and academically rigorous courses emphasizing public service, leadership and professional development. Members of Phi Kappa Phi are eligible to receive a $500 scholarship for this program. Select Phi Kappa Phi on your Intern Profile and the Washington Internship Institute will use this information to verify your membership. Phi Kappa Phi members are invited to apply for DC Internships summer and semester programs based in Washington, DC. Sponsored by The Fund of American Studies, each program includes academic credit through George Mason University, an internship placement, furnished housing, guest lectures and site briefings as well as professional development and networking events. Three scholarships in the amount of $2,500 have been reserved for members of Phi Kappa Phi. Applicants for these scholarships should apply before the priority deadline. Members not selected for one of these scholarships will be reviewed for awards from The Fund for American Studies' general scholarship fund.
