How did you become involved as a chapter officer? 
Inducted into UT chapter by invitation from other UT faculty.

What has your chapter done that has made you proud? 
We have recently seen a marked increase in percentage of acceptance to our invitations.

What does Phi Kappa Phi mean to you? 
Phi Kappa Phi represents the distinct opportunity to honor and cherish those values of high scholarship and character in the next generation of our young leaders/students.

What do you enjoy most about being a chapter officer? 
I enjoy the challenge of convincing the brightest student scholars of UT of the importance and significance of Phi Kappa Phi membership.

What advice would you give to a new chapter officer? 
Enjoy the challenge of making this chapter a more significant and meaningful experience for the exceptional student.

What are your hobbies? 
I am a concert pianist, but have many interests, including philosophy, theology, economics, and the arts.

Where are you from? 
I reside in Knoxville, Tenn., with my wife of 40 years. I am originally from Macon, Ga.
