Divisional Vice Presidents

Division I

June Pilcher - resizeJune Pilcher, Ph.D.

June Pilcher currently serves on the 2020-2022 Board of Directors of Phi Kappa Phi. Previously, she has served as chair of the Phi Kappa Phi Scholar/Artist/Sylvester Distinguished Service award committee and chair of the credentials committee at the 2018 convention. She has also served as a member of the Fellowship committee and as president and past-president of her chapter. Pilcher holds both master’s and doctoral degrees in biopsychology from the University of Chicago and bachelor’s degrees in psychology and computer science from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she was initiated as a student in 1984. She is Alumni Distinguished Professor of psychology at Clemson University, where she is co-founder and faculty fellow of the university’s Global Learning Institute and a mentor of new faculty and students in multiple programs. Away from the university, Pilcher leads martial arts classes, works with a greyhound adoption group, and mentors faculty from other institutions through the Society for Teaching of Psychology.

Randy Winzer - resize

Randy Winzer

Randy Winzer is a professor of electronics engineering technology at Pittsburg State University, where he earned a B.S. and master’s degree in engineering technology. With funding from the National Science Foundation, he’s helped advance STEM education for underrepresented students and published research related to those initiatives. He’s also been active in the F.I.R.S.T. Robotics community, where he’s been active in growing robotics skills among urban youth. Winzer has presented research on what he’s learned about bringing STEM to underserved communities. He served as the southeast regional vice president for Phi Kappa Phi from 2014-2016.

Division II

David Briscoe - resize

David L. Briscoe, Ph.D.

David L. Briscoe is Inaugural University Professor of Sociology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where he has taught for 30 years. He earned a B.A. in sociology and an M.A. in criminal justice at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and a Ph.D. in family sociology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He is the 2020 university-wide recipient of the UA-Little Rock Faculty Excellence Award in Public Service and the recipient of the 2021 university-wide Faculty Excellence Award in Teaching. He is a Distinguished Eagle Scout and a recipient of Scouting’s Silver Buffalo Award.

Briscoe is also an alum of numerous leadership and education institutes at Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and Oxford. He was inducted into the UA-Little Rock chapter of Phi Kappa Phi in 1994 and served as chapter president in 2012. In 2015, he became a Distinguished Member and was presented with the Phi Kappa Phi Ray Sylvester Distinguished Service Award in 2018.

Mark Glidden - resizeMarc D. Glidden, Ph.D.

Marc D. Glidden is assistant professor of criminology and justice studies at California State University, Northridge. He holds a B.S. in criminal justice from East Carolina University, an M.A. in higher education administrative services from McKendree University, and a Ph.D. in criminal justice from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. His research interests include how the COVID-19 pandemic affected prison populations, financial literacy among incarcerated individuals, and how gender shapes roles in law enforcement. Glidden is president of the CSUN chapter of Phi Kappa Phi.

Division IV

Kelly Melendez - resize

Kelly Ann Melendez

Kelly Ann Melendez is a staff attorney at MidPenn Legal Services in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. She handles civil cases for low-income clients, with a focus on unemployment compensation, housing disputes, consumer defense, and protection from abuse. Melendez has a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay and a juris doctor from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Prior to studying law, Melendez worked for MTV and The Nielsen Company. Her pro bono and volunteer work includes helping Family Promise of the Capital Region in LemOyne, Pennsylvania, Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, and Eau Claire Free Legal Clinic.

James W. Mirabella - resizeJames W. Mirabella, DBA

James W. Mirabella is a professor of decision sciences at Jacksonville University, where he’s the president of the campus Phi Kappa Phi chapter. He has a B.S. in operations research from the U.S. Air Force Academy, an MBA from Auburn University, and a DBA in management from Nova Southeastern University.  He is active as a community volunteer, including work with the Fellowship of Christian Musicians, the Seamark Ranch program for families in crisis, and as a volunteer substitute teacher in local schools. For many years, he operated his own research firm.

Division V

Anne Alexandra Boettcher - resizeAnne Alexandra Boettcher, Ph.D.

Anne Alexandra Boettcher is assistant dean of research at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She holds an A.B. in neurobiology from Bowdoin College, along with an M.S. and Ph.D. in marine studies from the University of Delaware. Her past research focused on the influence of environmental factors on plants and animals. She now focuses on mentoring multidisciplinary groups of students and assisting them with grants and research skills. Among her honors is Embry Riddle’s Unsung Eagle and Outstanding Staff awards, which recognized her work in student engagement. She was a charter member of the ERAU chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, the first president of the chapter and now serves as the awards and grants coordinator.

Alison S. Gregory - resizeAlison S. Gregory

Alison Gregory was a chartering member and the inaugural president of the ΦΚΦ chapter at Marymount University after serving as chapter president at Lycoming College, where she had been initiated as a student in 1997. Gregory currently serves as the divisional vice president for Division V. She holds a B.A. in history from Lycoming, an M.S. in library science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s in leadership and management from Marymount. Gregory serves as university librarian and associate professor of library and learning services at Marymount, where she is a member of the deans’ and provost’s councils and the president’s extended cabinet. In her previous position at Lycoming, she served as co-chair of a Middle States reaccreditation working group and chair of the faculty. She is a site visitor for SACSCOC, a peer reviewer for the Virginia Library Association College and Research Libraries conference, and was an elected board member of the Pennsylvania Library Association.
