Award Committee Volunteers Needed

Each year, the Society relies on the dedication of volunteers to serve on its Award Selection Committees, and we invite you to apply. Serving on a Phi Kappa Phi Award Selection Committee gives you the opportunity to play a direct role in recognizing and supporting outstanding students, faculty, and scholars across the country.

Do you want to:

  • collaborate with colleagues from around the country?
  • make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and researchers?
  • help shape the future of Phi Kappa Phi through its awards and grants?

If so, we encourage you to apply by completing the Award Selection Committee Volunteer Form by May 15.

Eligibility Requirements

Members must be active (dues-current) to be eligible to serve.

Term and Service

Award Selection Committee appointments are made on an annual basis. Members may be reappointed, but no one may serve more than three consecutive terms on the same committee.

Award Selection Committees are made up of a chair and several members and are supported by a National Office staff representative who serves as an ex officio member. Committees review eligible applications, evaluate and score submissions, and play a vital role in selecting Phi Kappa Phi award recipients.

All reviews and scoring are completed electronically through a secure online portal, allowing for flexibility and efficiency. No travel is required, and all meetings are held virtually. Application deadlines and review cycles take place throughout the year, with committees typically given four to six weeks to complete their reviews.
