DCInternships.org by The Fund for American Studies

Phi Kappa Phi members are invited to apply for the DC Internships summer and semester programs based in Washington, DC. Sponsored by The Fund of American Studies, each program includes academic credit through George Mason University, an internship placement, furnished housing, guest lectures and site briefings as well as professional development and networking events.

Scholarships Available

Three scholarships in the amount of $2,500 have been reserved for members of Phi Kappa Phi. Members not selected for one of these three scholarships will be reviewed for awards from The Fund for American Studies' general scholarship fund. Members must denote their Society membership within their online application materials.

Washington Internship Institute

Washington Internship InstituteThe Washington Internship Institute’s semester-long academic internship program is carefully designed to provide students from the U.S. and abroad with practical, hands-on experience and academically rigorous courses emphasizing public service, leadership and professional development. Four days a week, students do meaningful work in professional settings available only in the nation’s capital. Recent placements have included federal agencies, Congressional offices, embassies, businesses, and a wide range of nonprofit and advocacy organizations in every field.

Scholarships Available

Members of Phi Kappa Phi are eligible to receive a $500 scholarship for this program. Select Phi Kappa Phi on your Intern Profile and the Washington Internship Institute will use this information to verify your membership.
