Jessica Ashmore’s Phi Kappa Phi membership reflects a commitment to academic excellence, service and leadership. A native of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Ashmore developed a strong work ethic and love of learning while growing up in a rural community where she balanced academics with athletics, cheerleading and marching band.
Her academic achievements led to acceptance at the Naval Academy where she majored in chemistry and performed nationwide with the Drum and Bugle Corps. Ashmore later earned a bachelor’s degree in lifespan care administration with a focus on geriatrics from the University of Oklahoma. She completed a Master of Science in healthcare administration from Oklahoma State University in December 2023 and earned her doctorate in May 2025, graduating with 4.0 GPAs while working full time and raising three children with her husband.

She currently works as a federal contractor serving as a research program coordinator in support of the Extremity Trauma and Amputation Center of Excellence at Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where she supports musculoskeletal and concussion research for service members.
In addition to her academic and professional work, Ashmore is competing for the national title of United States of America’s Mrs. As USOA’s Mrs. Oklahoma 2026, she plans to use her platform to advocate for quality health care access and continuity for military families, amplify the voices of military spouses, and promote the importance of female education, leadership, and empowerment for women and young girls everywhere. For Ashmore, Phi Kappa Phi represents excellence with purpose and a responsibility to use scholarship in service to others.
