With each edition of the Society's Forum magazine, "Forum 15" highlights elements of popular culture related to the theme. Our goal is to affirm that the ideas we discuss in Forum have a vivid presence in our daily lives – in the books we read, the shows we watch, the songs we sing, the movies we see, and the buildings we admire.

Forum’s winter 2025 issue will explore the experience of journeys by plane, and the content will include “Forum 15,” our regular feature that lists neat works of culture related to our theme.

Do you know of a memorable book, movie, piece of music, or work of art that celebrates plane travel? For Forum Editor, Danny Hietman, Airplane!, the zany comic spoof of disaster movies that premiered in 1980, is one that quickly comes to mind. We’d love to get your suggestions for an upcoming feature in Forum’s winter issue.
