The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi's international community is a unique blend of students, academicians and corporate and civic leaders from all fields of endeavor. Membership in Phi Kappa Phi recognizes and rewards academic success. That recognition doesn’t end after initiation. From their time in school to their professional career, Society members’ hard work continues to pay off and be acknowledged.

Phi Kappa Phi would like to congratulate these members on their recent achievements:

Melissa DeFoor (University of North Alabama) has received the 2026 University of North Alabama Chapter Eleanor Gaunder Excellence in Teaching Award. The award recognizes her outstanding contributions to nursing education.

John Estell (The University of Toledo) has received a Division Best Paper Award as first author at each of the past three American Society for Engineering Education Annual Conferences (2024–2026). Each award recognized scholarship in a different area of engineering education research, with two of the three papers also earning conference-level recognition, highlighting the breadth and impact of his contributions to the field.

David Moses (Syracuse University) has received the 2026 Graduate Dean’s Award for Excellence in Research and Creative Work. The award recognizes up to 8 graduate students annually for their overall academic record and the outstanding quality of their research or creative activity at the University.
