Phi Kappa Phi’s Love of Learning Awards are designed to help fund post-baccalaureate professional development for active Phi Kappa Phi members to include -graduate or professional studies, doctoral dissertations, continuing education, career development, travel related to teaching/research/learning, etc.

For members like Paloma Chumacero, a graduate student at Columbia University, the funds can help them explore new horizons in their academic journey. As a 2022 Love of Learning Award recipient, Chumacero used the funds to complete a concurrent Master of International Affairs at the School of International and Public Affairs.

“I am truly honored to be a recipient of the Love of Learning Award, which supports passionate individuals who want to make a change in the world through education. This award will help me continue my education and fulfill my goal of advancing economic development in Latin America by allocating strategic investments from individuals in developed nations,” said Chumacero “Thank you very much for your trust and support.”

Established in 2007, the Love of Learning program gives 200 awards at $1,000 each annually.

The deadline to apply for a Love of Learning Award is Friday, June 30. For more information, visit www. Phikappaphi.org/loveoflearning or contact Kelli Partin at kpartin@phikappaphi.org.
