This year marks the third annual Fall Service Project initiative hosted by the Society’s Council of Students. Chapters are encouraged to participate in the planning and execution of a local service project that focuses on a specific need in their community or on their campus.

The service project can take place for any length of time from Sept. – Nov. One chapter from each division will be honored for their commitment to the community with a $200 monetary contribution to each chapter’s partner community organization from the national office.

“The 2021 Fall Service Project was an unforgettable experience in our chapter. We had the opportunity to work with 23 university student associations to collect school materials and books for three orphanages in Puerto Rico,” said Council of Student member Nicole Gonzalez. “It was an excellent opportunity to promote our love of learning, give back to the community, and to make ourselves known both at the university and in our community. I encourage other chapters to get involved to make an impact in your community and be of service to others!”

This year, the Phi Kappa Phi national office staff will hold its own Fall Service Project by partnering with Baton Rouge non-profit Clean Pelican in a “Clean Community Event” on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Phi Kappa Phi chapters in the vicinity of Baton Rouge are invited and welcome to participate. Chapters interested in a similar service project can partner with Keep America Beautiful affiliates; find an affiliate here.
