The Phi Kappa Phi Difference

Honor societies are not all the same. Phi Kappa Phi is a member of the Honor Society Caucus, a consortium of the most prestigious honor societies in the country. The Honor Society Caucus also includes Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Beta Kappa, and Sigma Xi.

Highly Selective Membership

Membership in Phi Kappa Phi is a stamp of excellence offered to the top 7.5% of second-semester juniors and top 10% of seniors and graduate students. Since its founding in 1897, the Society has initiated many notable members, including public servants and leaders, Pulitzer and Nobel Prize winners, NASA astronauts and more. It is a global network composed of the best and brightest from all academic disciplines—a community of scholars and professionals building an enduring legacy for future generations.

Academic Recognition

Phi Kappa Phi membership is a stamp of excellence and there are many ways to proudly display your membership in the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline honor society.

While all new members receive an initiation certificate, the official Phi Kappa Phi pin and a personalized member card after joining, members can share their Phi Kappa Phi pride with these resources.

Award Opportunities

Members are eligible to apply for $1.3 million in awards each year. From fellowships up to $35,000 to $1,000 study abroad grants to $1,000 Love of Learning grants, the Society has a long history of supporting the educational pursuits of its members.
