Phi Kappa Phi Forum is the quarterly magazine of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. It goes out to more than 100,000 active members of the Society and nonmember subscribers, and to libraries across the country. The Forum is mailed on the following schedule: Winter/Spring, late March; Summer, late July; Awards Issue, late August; and Fall, late November.
Each issue of Phi Kappa Phi Forum features a variety of articles on topics of interest, both timely and timeless, designed to appeal to the diverse membership of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
Authors are invited based on their expertise and include scholars, experts from the private sector, and government officials. Molefi Kete Asante, James A. Banks, Ray Browne, Rosalyn Carter, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Stephanie Coontz, Norman Cousins, Alan Dershowitz, David Elkind, Myrlie Evers-Williams, Stanley Fish, Helen Fisher, Elizabeth Fox-Genovese, Louis Friedman, John Goodlad, Tipper Gore, Newt Gingrich, John R. Horner, James J. Kilpatrick, Jesse Jackson, Donald Johanson, Annette Kolodny, Mary Lefkowitz, Wilma Mankiller, Doris Meissner, James Michener, Robert MacNeil, Tip O'Neill, Kevin Padian, Jack N. Rakove, Ronald Reagan, Richard Riley, Marilyn Vos Savant, Donna Shalala, Mike Wallace, Sarah Weddington, Robert L. Woodson, Sr., and Howard Zinn are among the better-known authors who have contributed articles to or have been interviewed for previous issues.
In addition, each issue contains six regular columns ("Forum on Education and Academics," "Forum on Science and Technology," "Forum on Business and Economics," "Forum on the Arts," "Forum on Ethics," and "Forum on the Workplace") as well as book reviews, movie reviews, reader responses, letters, and the Member Focus. The Member Focus section includes chapter, member, and Society news, the Phi Kappa Phi bookshelf, and announcements of interest to all members.
Phi Kappa Phi Forum currently is indexed in a variety of electronic and print indexes, and articles from recent issues are now available through EBSCO Media's Academic Search Elite and InfoTrac, among other databases. Permission to reprint articles from the Forum is frequently requested from major commercial publishers for inclusion in anthologies used for teaching, and articles often are requested for classroom use by individual university professors.
