Vasilii Maksimov
Nominating Chapter: Alfred University
Graduate Institution: The University of North Texas
"Phi Kappa Phi is not only an amazing community, but is a generous organization that recognizes hard working people and aims to help many of them financially by performing thorough merit analysis. When I applied for the Ph.D. fellowship I was given a harsh notice that the society (intentionally) is full of overqualified and overachieving students that will compete for financial support during their graduate studies. But by receiving this award I was shown that hard work and passion for knowledge is what matters."
