Dates to Remember

November 30, 2020

Due to COVID-19, the officers of Western Michigan University chapter of Phi Kappa Phi will not hold an initiation ceremony. The date listed here is the date of your initiation class.

New members will be mailed their certificate, pin, and new member packet.

December 6, 2020

This date is the deadline to ensure that your certificate will be sent to you before the end of the year. This certificate and pin will be sent to the address that you enter in your profile when you join online.

June 30, 2021

The access code will expire and online registration will close at 11:59 p.m. CST on June 30, 2021. If you were invited to join and miss the deadline, please email late registration inquiries to Haylee Knowles.

Phi Kappa Phi Facts

Phi Kappa Phi provides nearly $1 million in awards each year to outstanding students and members.

Membership is by invitation to the top juniors, seniors and graduate students who meet specific eligibility criteria at member-campuses. Faculty, professional staff, and alumni also may be eligible for membership. For further details, click here.

Founded in 1897 at the University of Maine, Phi Kappa Phi was created to honor excellence in all academic disciplines.

The Society's motto is "Let the love of learning rule humanity."

Notable alumni include former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, best-selling novelist John Grisham, Grammy Award-winning soprano Renée Fleming, YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, and NASA astronaut Wendy Lawrence.
