April 9

Your enrollment in Phi Kappa Phi must be completed by this deadline to guarantee that your certificate will be at the ceremony.

April 23

Initiation Ceremony
University Events Room, Glickman Family Library, Portland Campus
Check in: 6:00 p.m.
Begins: 6:30 p.m.
Ends: 7:30 p.m.

If you do not attend the ceremony: After the ceremony date, please contact Bonnie Stearns at 207.780.5050 or bstearns@maine.edu to make arrangements to pick up your new member materials on the Gorham, Portland, or Lewiston-Auburn campus.

May 11

The access code will expire and online registration will close at 11:59 p.m. CST on May 11. Inquiries about accepting membership after this date should be directed to bstearns@maine.edu

Phi Kappa Phi Facts

Phi Kappa Phi provides $1.4 million in awards each biennium to outstanding students and members.

Membership is by invitation to the top juniors, seniors and graduate students who meet specific eligibility criteria at member-campuses. Faculty, professional staff, and alumni also may be eligible for membership. For further details, click here.

Founded in 1897 at the University of Maine, Phi Kappa Phi was created to honor excellence in all academic disciplines.

The Society's motto is "Let the love of learning rule humanity."

Notable alumni include former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, best-selling novelist John Grisham, Grammy Award-winning soprano Renée Fleming, YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, and NASA astronaut Wendy Lawrence.
