October 22

Initiation Ceremony
The Ohio Union, Great Hall Meeting Room, First Floor

1739 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43210

Check in: 12:30 p.m.
Ceremony Begins: 1:30 p.m
Ceremony Ends: 3:30 p.m.

The dress code for the Initiation Ceremony is semi-formal to business casual. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served. Photos of all new members will be taken with the Executive Board and the featured speaker. Guests and parents are welcome to take photos during the ceremony as well. If you register after October 8 or if you do not attend the ceremony:
After the ceremony date, your certificate and new member materials will be available for pickup at the front desk on the 5th floor of the Office of the University Registrar.

Online registration will close at 11:59 p.m. CST on December 31, 2017. If you were invited to join and you miss the deadline, please email your contact on campus, Mrs. Kerry Dhakal, with any questions.

Phi Kappa Phi Facts

Phi Kappa Phi provides $1 million in grants and awards each biennium to outstanding students and members.

Membership is by invitation to the top 7.5% of juniors with at least 72 credit hours and the top 10% of seniors and graduate students at member-campuses. Faculty, professional staff, and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction also may be eligible for membership.

Founded in 1897 at the University of Maine, Phi Kappa Phi was created to honor excellence in all academic disciplines. 

The Society's motto is "Let the love of learning rule humanity."

Notable alumni include former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, best-selling novelist David Baldacci, Grammy Award-winning soprano Renée Fleming, YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, and NASA astronaut Wendy Lawrence.
