Due to COVID-19, the officers of Louisiana State University chapter of Phi Kappa Phi will not hold an initiation ceremony. New members will be mailed their certificate, pin, and new member packet. The date listed here is the date for your initiation class.

May 7, 2021

The access code will expire and online registration will close at 11:59 p.m. CST on May 7. If you were invited to join and miss the deadline, please email late registration inquiries to louaym@lsu.edu.

Phi Kappa Phi Facts

Phi Kappa Phi provides nearly $1 million in awards each year to outstanding students and members.

Membership is by invitation to the top juniors, seniors and graduate students who meet specific eligibility criteria at member-campuses. Faculty, professional staff, and alumni also may be eligible for membership. For further details, click here.

Founded in 1897 at the University of Maine, Phi Kappa Phi was created to honor excellence in all academic disciplines.

The Society's motto is "Let the love of learning rule humanity."

Notable alumni include former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, best-selling novelist John Grisham, Grammy Award-winning soprano Renée Fleming, YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, and NASA astronaut Wendy Lawrence.
