Criteria

Chapters will show commitment and sustainability by meeting the following criteria annually:

  • Hold at least one initiation ceremony between July 1 and June 30 
  • Appoint the appropriate type of chapter officers as defined in Article II, Section 4.1 of the 2018 Society Bylaws and reflected on the Chapter Officer List
  • Issue the appropriate percentage of invitations as defined in Article III, Section 3 of the 2018 Society Bylaws and reflected on the Initiation Report
  • Attend at least one of the following training opportunities between July 1 and June 30: Growing Your Chapter Workshop, Food 4 Thought meeting, Webinar/Podcast, Chapter Coffee Call, Convention, Student Leadership Summit
  • Submit required annual reports on time including Chapter Annual Report, Chapter Officer List, Finance Report, IRD Form 990 or 990-N
  • Submit chapter-endorsed Fellowship nominee

Award data will be evaluated after the close of each fiscal year to determine the award achieved.

* Requests for requalification will not be accepted once awards are announced.

Benefits

Chapters achieving the Platinum Circle of Excellence status will receive a $300 cash award or a convention registration grant (if applicable).

Chapters achieving the Gold Circle of Excellence status will receive a $200 cash award or a Student Leadership registration grant (if applicable).

Chapters achieving the Silver Circle of Excellence status will receive a $100 cash award or a Growing Your Chapter registration grant (if applicable).

A custom badge for each level will be distributed electronically for the chapter to use in chapter communications and promotions. Each winner will receive a congratulatory letter, and a copy will be distributed to the institution.
