Share Your Stories of Mentorship Success

Jan 19, 2018

“In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn.” This quote from Phil Collins probably rings true for anyone who has ever served as a mentor.

Mentoring provides a shared opportunity for learning and growth. In fact, many mentors say they are grateful for the chance to mentor because the experience is more rewarding than they imagined. Are you a mentor? Tell us in the comments below about your experience. Your story may inspire others to get involved.

Maybe you were the one who benefited from having a great mentor. As part of National Mentoring Month, we will celebrate national Thank Your Mentor Day™ on January 25. On this day, we encourage you to thank those individuals who had a lasting impact on your life. Here are a few ideas:

  1. Contact your mentor directly to express your appreciation.
  2. Show your gratitude on social media.
  3. Pass on the lessons you have learned by becoming a mentor to someone in your community.
  4. Make a financial contribution to a local mentoring program in your mentor’s honor.

Learn how to become a mentor today.

And don’t forget to join the conversation with us on social media throughout the month by using #PKPMentors and #MentoringWorks
