May 25, 2018

cos-blog-18The 2016-2018 Council of Students tenure is coming to a close, and the staff at the national office would like to thank them for serving as the national committee of student engagement over these last two years.

Their commitment to the work that they have done on behalf of their chapters and student vice presidents at chapters throughout the nation is much appreciated.

The application period is now open for the 2018-2020 Council of Students.

The Council will meet for the first time at the 2018 Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota, August 1-4, with all expenses covered by Phi Kappa Phi. The Council also will be expected to attend and take a leadership role in the Student Leadership Summit held in July 2019 at a location to be determined. The opportunity to serve on the Council requires a commitment to serve through the 2020 biennium, when the Society selects its next Council of Students. The selected Council members must maintain student status at their institution for at least one full year of the two-year term served on the Council.

The application for the Council can be found here. The deadline is May 25, 2018, and the announcement of the new Council will be made on June 10, 2018.
