Dr. Barbra F. Mosley has been teaching with the Department of Curriculum and Instruction (CUIN) since summer 2006. Specifically, she is one of the faculty members with the Instructional Technology Unit where the Instructional Technology master’s degree program is housed. Dr. Mosley has been associated with instructional technology for more than twenty years. In her current position she is responsible for the design and development of various technology courses that support the Department of Curriculum and Instruction within the School of Education.
In 2005, she received her Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Blacksburg, VA., her research interests focus on the effective integration of emerging technologies (e.g., digital, cyber tools, etc.) to support teaching and learning and how the ability to use these tools impact productivity of diverse groups of learners. She has presented and published research that addresses technology integration, digital tools used by the Net Generation students, the use of technology in promoting critical thinking, exploration of social media tools and their possible implementation in the classroom. She continues to explore the most effective uses for technology and the integration of technology in the classroom.
Barbra was awarded the NC A&T State University’s Junior Faculty Teaching Excellence Award for 2010 - 2011. Additionally, she has received similar awards from her department and the School of Education.
