Crystal Report Viewer Installation
Make sure you are using Internet Explorer to view the reports, other
browsers will not always work, but IE will if you follow the below instructions.
Mac and Windows Vista users may have problems installing the report
viewer and will likely be unable to utilize the online reports. We are working
on a solution to this problem.
If you are seeing a red X in the upper left hand corner of your browser instead
of a report you probably need to install the Crystal Report Viewer. Follow the
instructions below to do this.
- Download
this file. It is a .zip file.
- Extract the files from the .zip. To do this, right-click the file that you
downloaded and choose extract or extract all. You may not have those
exact extraction options, but you should have an option of some kind to extract
the file. This step must be completed correctly for the installation to work.
- Navigate to the folder that you extracted the .zip file to.
- Double click the ActiveX Viewer Install.bat file after it has been extracted
from the .zip file you downloaded. This will copy 4 files to your System32
folder and register them. You will get a confirmation box for each file
registered. If you did not extract the ActiveX Viewer Install.bat file before
double clicking it, you will not see the confirmation boxes and will need to
complete step 2 before you will be able to continue the installation process.
- Once the file has run you should be able to go back to the reports page and view
them. If they still are not coming up, look for the information bar under the
address bar of your browser, because you may need to install the ActiveX control
from it to complete the viewer installation.
- If you are still having problems viewing reports or are having issues installing
the viewer you can contact Ryan Aucoin at
