Chapter Recognition Program
Overview:
The Society has established a program of chapter recognition and reward. Those chapters that meet or exceed certain standards, outlined in the Chapter Recognition Criteria, will be recognized as Chapters of Excellence or Chapters of Merit. Chapter successes will be reviewed annually.
Timeline:
The Chapter’s Annual Report of Activities (AR) will be used to identify those chapters meeting the criteria for chapter of merit and chapter of excellence status. The AR will be due to Headquarters by June 15 of each year.
Award recipients are selected each fiscal year and are notified each fall. Chapters earning award recognition for 2010-11 and 2011-12 will be recognized during the 2012 Convention.
Chapter Recognition Rewards
Chapters of Excellence
- a commendation letter sent from the Society to chapter officers and campus administration
- special recognition on Society Web site, publications and at Phi Kappa Phi’s National Convention
- specially designed logo for use in chapter communications
- recognition advertisements in local media and educational journals
- $500 award
Chapters of Merit
- a commendation letter sent from the Society to chapter officers and campus administration

- $100 award
