Dr. Missy Hopper |
Dr. Missy Hopper is an associate professor of education at Mississippi State University. At MSU, Hopper is responsible for the Secondary English Education program. Her research interests include content area reading, technology use in secondary English classrooms and online instruction. Inducted into Phi Kappa Phi in 1994 at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, Hopper serves as regional vice president on the Society’s Chapter Relations Committee working with officers and students to strengthen chapters in the South Central region. Prior to her election as regional vice president, Hopper served on the Society’s Credentials Committee as well as the Love of Learning Award Selection Committee. She also served as president, vice president and secretary for the MSU chapter of Phi Kappa Phi. Hopper holds a bachelor’s in liberal arts from MSU, a master’s in curriculum and instruction and an educational specialist degree in reading education from the University of Memphis, and a Ph.D. in holistic teaching and learning from the University of Tennessee. |
