How much money does Phi Kappa Phi award each year through grants or scholarships?

Annually, Phi Kappa Phi awards approximately $700,000:

  • Fellowships (60) - $300,000 awarded annually
  • Awards of Excellence Grants (40) - $80,000 awarded annually
  • Promotion of Excellence Grants - up to $80,0000 awarded each triennium
  • Study Abroad Grants (38) - $38,000 annually (available to Phi Kappa Phi members and non-members)
  • Literacy Grants - $60,000 awarded each triennium
  • Phi Kappa Phi Scholar and Phi Kappa Phi Artist Awards - $10,000 awarded each triennium
  • Chapter Scholarships and Awards - Approximately $200,000 distributed annually

Where does the money come from for the annual awards and grants programs?
Award and grant programs are funded by contributions that are added to the corpus of the Foundation. Income on the corpus is used to fund the programs.
