Help Us Identify a National Service Initiative
As you know, part of the mission of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is "to engage the community of scholars in service to others." In the past, this broader service objective has been met primarily through the funding of literacy projects.
Presently we are seeking ideas for a service project which would be national in scope and which provides an avenue for all members of the Society to directly participate. There has been some beginning discussion of various approaches (e.g., keep the focus on literacy; join forces with some other existing institutions or programs), but we realize the wisdom of seeking input from the members who might be directly engaged in whatever project we undertake.
Please send us your thoughts regarding such a project. Email your ideas to tnavarre@phikappaphi.org and we will analyze the responses to identify a service project that may be ongoing and will become identified with The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Let's make our mission statement live.
