Danny Heitman was initiated at the Southeastern Louisiana University chapter in 1986. He is currently the editor of Forum and a columnist for The Advocate newspaper in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He also frequently writes about literature and culture for national publications and is the author of A Summer of Birds: John James Audubon at Oakley House.
