2017 Dates to Remember

October 4

Your enrollment must be complete by October 4th to participate in the ceremony and guarantee that your certificate will be available.

October 18

Initiation Ceremony and Reception
Straughn IFAS Extension Professional Development Center

Check-in: 2:45 p.m.
Begins: 3:00 p.m.
You may bring up to 2 guests

If you do not attend the ceremony: After the enrollment deadline, your certificate and pin will be mailed to you by your chapter. Please allow up to 12 weeks from the deadline to accept the invitation for delivery of your membership materials.

November 18

The access code will expire and online registration will close permanently at 11:59 p.m. CST on November 18. If you were invited to join and miss the deadline, please email late registration inquiries to UFPhiKappaPhi@gmail.com

Phi Kappa Phi Facts

Phi Kappa Phi provides $1 million in grants and awards each biennium to outstanding students and members.

Membership is by invitation to the top 7.5% of juniors with at least 72 credit hours and the top 10% of seniors and graduate students at member-campuses. Faculty, professional staff, and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction also may be eligible for membership.

Founded in 1897 at the University of Maine, Phi Kappa Phi was created to honor excellence in all academic disciplines. 

The Society's motto is "Let the love of learning rule humanity."

Notable alumni include former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, best-selling novelist David Baldacci, Grammy Award-winning soprano Renée Fleming, YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, and NASA astronaut Wendy Lawrence.
