March 21

You must be registered by this day in order to guarantee that your name will be included in the printed program and your certificate will be at the ceremony.

April 2

Chapter Initiation Ceremony
Gorell Recital Hall, second floor of Sutton Hall
Check in: 1:45 p.m.
Begins: 2:00 p.m.

If you do not attend the ceremony:
After the ceremony date, you may make arrangements to pick up your certificate, lapel pin and new member packet from the IUP Journalism and Public Relations Department, Humanities and Social Sciences Building, Room 404.

May 12

Online registration closed for all invitees at 11:59 p.m. CST on May 12, 2017. The access code will be terminated. If you were invited to join and you missed this deadline, please email your contact on campus, Michele Papakie, with any questions.

Phi Kappa Phi Facts

Phi Kappa Phi provides $1 million in grants and awards each biennium to outstanding students and members.

Membership is by invitation to the top 7.5% of juniors with at least 72 credit hours and the top 10% of seniors and graduate students at member-campuses. Faculty, professional staff, and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction also may be eligible for membership.

Founded in 1897 at the University of Maine, Phi Kappa Phi was created to honor excellence in all academic disciplines. 

The Society's motto is "Let the love of learning rule humanity."

Notable alumni include former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, best-selling novelist David Baldacci, Grammy Award-winning soprano Renée Fleming, YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, and NASA astronaut Wendy Lawrence.
