Delegate Information
According to Society Bylaws, each chapter must designate an official delegate to vote on behalf of the chapter at the Biennial Convention. The appropriate delegate will be a chapter leader during the 2012-13 academic year and will be available to implement the ideas learned at Convention. To nominate a delegate to represent your chapter at the 2012 Convention, please complete the Convention Delegate Nomination Form. Society Headquarters will reimburse travel expenses and two night’s hotel costs for the assigned chapter delegate. Remaining expenses should be covered by the chapter.
You may elect to send additional representatives to the Convention. Please use the same nomination form to elect these additional non-voting representatives. All attendees must be approved by the chapter president. Active membership is required for all convention attendees and will be confirmed by Society Headquarters before registration information can be distributed.
Nomination Information
Recent changes in bylaws have made it possible for all active Phi Kappa Phi members to take part in the governance of the Society. Active members can nominate candidates from the Society’s ranks to serve two-year terms as President-Elect, Vice President for Finance, Vice President for Marketing and Member Benefits, Vice President for Fellowships and Awards, and two Vice Presidents at Large. Active members also will be able to vote on the two Vice Presidents at Large.
UPDATE: The deadline for nominating candidates has passed. Voting for the two VPs at Large was open to all active members and took place electronically in April. Congratulations to Trish Kalivoda and Dianna Samuelson on their elections as VPs at Large. The remaining elected offices will be voted on by chapter delegates at the 2012 convention.

PUBLIC TRANSIT
Metrolink light rail train system connecting the main and east terminals of Lambert International Airport to the downtown area. Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch guests can exit at 8th and Pine Street (hotel is at 4th and Pine St.) just minutes from the hotel. Total travel time is approximately 27-30 minutes. The trains run approximately every 30 minutes from 12:45 a.m. to 5 a.m. Cost is $3.50 each way to and from the airport. Note: Not recommended for people with heavy or large amounts of luggage as there is a short walk to the hotel.

SHUTTLE
GoBest Express shared ride vans have a dedicated curbside location just outside of baggage claim and leave the airport approximately every 15-30 minutes daily. A special convention rate of $17 one way per person has been negotiated. To receive the discounted rate, shuttle reservations MUST be made online before 11:59 p.m. on August 2.
