St. Louis will serve as the gateway when Phi Kappa Phi engages the conversation on higher education. Join us!
August 7-9, 2014
Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch
The 2014 Convention will feature a keynote speech from Phi Kappa Phi member and interim president of West Virginia University E. Gordon Gee, a panel discussion with four university provosts, presentations from Society award winners, and much more.
Build in some extra time to enjoy Gateway City attractions including the City Museum, Saint Louis Zoo, Gateway Arch, Saint Louis Art Museum, Anheuser-Busch Brewery, and Six Flags St. Louis.
Registration will open in early spring 2014. Phi Kappa Phi chapters should make plans now to designate a delegate to the convention. The appropriate delegate is one who will be a chapter leader during the 2014-15 academic year and can help implement the ideas learned at the convention. Chapter officers also are strongly encouraged to attend the Partnering for Success training event preceding the convention.
Attending Convention will allow your chapter to have a voice in the governance of the Society including the election of the national board of directors and regional vice presidents. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to learn chapter management skills while interacting with officers, members, Society leadership and staff across three days of networking, learning, and sharing. Be sure to review the Convention FAQs for more information.
UPDATE: The deadline for nominating candidates has passed. Voting for two VPs at Large will take place electronically in April. Active members will receive an electronic ballot the week of April 7 and have until April 20 to submit it. Or, if you prefer a paper ballot, call 800-804-9880, ext. 215. The same April 20 deadline applies for paper ballots.
The offices of President-Elect, VP for Fellowships and Awards, VP for Finance, VP for Marketing and Member Benefits, and each of the five Regional VPs for Chapter Relations will be voted on by chapter delegates at the 2014 Convention.
