How did you become involved as a chapter officer? I started as administrative assistant to the chapter assigned by the Provost. I became secretary when we split the position of secretary/treasurer.

What has your chapter done that has made you proud? We maintain a 75% induction record. Also, we have hosted professional development activities that have been led by our students.

What does Phi Kappa Phi mean to you? Phi Kappa Phi exemplifies learning.  Learning, to me, happens every day. You learn not only from books but from life experiences. Every day is the opportunity to learn and Phi Kappa Phi embodies that.

What do you enjoy most about being a chapter officer?
Phi Kappa Phi is special because I get to meet students who have the drive to succeed.

What advice would you give to a new chapter officer? A new Phi Kappa Phi officer should not get discouraged. It's hard work, especially during recruitment, but you are showing your students that leaders take the risk.

What are your hobbies?
Writing, reading, and walking.

Where are you from? Technically the Village of Alamance but the address is Burlington.
