How did you become involved as a chapter officer? I was recruited by the chapter president.

What has your chapter done that has made you proud? Our chapter has a high level of support from the chapter executive committee, which led to an increase in chapter participation and larger number of initiates. It makes me proud to think we are reaching out and recognizing more deserving students year after year.

What does Phi Kappa Phi mean to you? Being a member of Chapter 1, the founding chapter, we always feel particularly responsible to carry the torch and improve our chapter's public image and visibility among students.

What do you enjoy most about being a chapter officer?
The satisfaction to give back to the Society by promoting love of learning and recognizing students' hard work is priceless.

What advice would you give to a new chapter officer? Attend regional or biennial events to learn more about effectively running your chapters, work with college deans and department chairs closely to add a personal touch to your initiates invitation letter.

What are your hobbies? My work as an electrical engineer with focus on wireless sensor networks is my hobby.

Where are you from?
 Maine
