How did you become involved as a chapter officer? I led the initiative to start a new chapter of Phi Kappa Phi at our university.

What has your chapter done that has made you proud? Both the Worcester and the Boston campuses have become recognized as part of our Student Government Association (SGA).  As part of SGA, they contribute to the university and the community by volunteering and by providing professional development workshops.

What does Phi Kappa Phi mean to you? Phi Kappa Phi is an organization that promotes excellence and the pursuit of knowledge. What I like the best about this organization is the interdisciplinary nature of the society. Our members now have a chance to interact and learn from a variety of different disciplines. This fosters a spirit of collaboration and understanding, which is essential in the healthcare and scientific fields.

What do you enjoy most about being a chapter officer?
As a chapter officer, it is a pleasure to see the look of pride in the students' faces during the Phi Kappa Phi Induction Ceremony. I also love that they get to share their accomplishments with their families. I find my role in Phi Kappa Phi extremely rewarding.

What advice would you give to a new chapter officer? My advice to new officers is to try to recruit as many faculty volunteers as possible.

What are your hobbies? Reading, going to the movies, and traveling

Where are you from? Originally from Italy, then Venezuela, and now Massachusetts
