How did you become involved as a chapter officer? I was recruited by the outgoing Chapter President to be the incoming Secretary. In our chapter, an officer serves two years as Secretary, then two years as President-elect or Vice President, and then two years as President. It is a six-year commitment.
What has your chapter done that has made you proud? Seven straight years as a Chapter of Excellence
What does Phi Kappa Phi mean to you? A non-discriminatory honor society. As a computer scientist, we are not usually eligible for the university-wide honor societies. Phi Kappa Phi gives our students the opportunity to be recognized at the university level for their achievements.
What do you enjoy most about being a chapter officer? Being involved and meeting the students.
What advice would you give to a new chapter officer? Pay attention and get to know the chapter, especially the students.
What are your hobbies? Woodworking and Taekwondo
