Apply for a Phi Kappa Phi Literacy Grant

by Hannah Breaux | Mar 18, 2016

Phi Kappa Phi members and chapters are making an impact in communities near and far through a number of literacy initiatives. These projects range from building a library for students in Tanzania to enhancing the literacy skills of bilingual learners to donating books to families and more.

These initiatives, made possible in part by Phi Kappa Phi Literacy Grants, emphasize the Society’s commitment to service. Established in 2003, the Literacy Grant Program was created to provide funding to chapters and active members for new and ongoing projects that reinforce part of the Society’s mission: “to engage the community of scholars in service to others.”

Do you have a literacy project that needs additional funding? Or are you looking to implement a new initiative, but need a boost to get started? Apply for a Phi Kappa Phi Literacy Grant by Friday, April 1. Grants of up to $2,500 are available to chapters and active members. Click here to apply or access additional information. And don’t forget to read more about the initiatives being championed by the 2015 grant recipients.
