Five Kansas State University students have been selected for fall 2009 scholarships from the campus chapter of Phi Kappa Phi.
Winners of the $750 Phi Kappa Phi scholarships were selected based on grade point average; honors and awards received; community involvement; letters of recommendation; and an essay outlining how their education and experiences at K-State support their career objectives.
Scholarship winners include:
Jamie Noelle Ball, senior in biology and premedicine, Eureka; Kelsey Moran, senior in political science and international studies, Hays; Hannah Rebecca Hartsig, senior in history and art history, Overland Park; and Mary Kathryn Herzog, senior in anthropology, biology and French, and Cameron Longabaugh, senior in music education, both from Wichita.
Scholarship winners will be honored at the Phi Kappa Phi fall reception at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, in the Flint Hills Room at the K-State Student Union.
