Dr. Gypsy Denzine is Assistant Vice Provost at Northern Arizona University. In this role she supports the university and college’s missions, strategic plans and conceptual framework.

As vice president of fellowships and awards, Denzine will provide leadership to the Society’s various award programs: Fellowships, Phi Kappa Phi Scholar & Artist, Study Abroad Grants, Literacy Grants and Love of Learning. In addition, she will chair the Fellowship and Awards Council and serve as a member of the Finance and Budget Committee and the Programs and Awards Review Committee.

Denzine was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi in 2005 at NAU and has since played an active leadership role in the Society. Prior to her election as vice president, Denzine served on the Society’s Chapter Relations Committee as western regional representative. Additionally, she chaired the 2010-2012 Fellowship Committee.

Denzine holds a bachelor's degree in social work from St. Cloud State University, a master's degree in educational leadership and counseling from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Northern Colorado.
